It is important to ensure that those in need have proper clothing to protect their bodies. Socks, in particular, are of great importance. Socks help prevent trench foot- a medical condition that occurs when feet are wet for long periods of time. Trench foot can lead to possible amputation

Struggling households are forced to decide if they will pay the electric, pay the rent, or put food on the table at the end of each month. Children in poverty are left to start the school year without the essential school supplies or proper uniforms
