Our gratitude to our patrons, supporters and volunteers who make our work possible. Let’s work together to make 2024 another fulfilling year.

Millions around the globe grapple with the fundamental challenge of accessing basic needs – food, water, shelter, and menstrual hygiene products. At Promise Hill Project we are dedicated to alleviating the suffering of those in need through our impactful initiatives in the USA, India, and Kenya.

Let’s take a closer look at the active endeavors of Promise Hill Project, each designed to break the cycle of deprivation and make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals.

Basic Needs: A Human Right, Not a Luxury

Access to basic necessities is not a luxury but a fundamental human right. Despite this, countless individuals worldwide struggle daily to meet these essential needs.

According to the World Health Organization Joint News Release dated 12th  July 2023, the global number of people affected by hunger rose to a staggering 735 million in 2023.

CDC statistics reveal that 2 billion people lack access to safely managed drinking water at home. These statistics underscore the urgency of addressing basic needs globally.

Bridging the Gap: Promise Hill Project’s Basic Needs Program

Your support for Promise Hill Project’s Basic Needs Program plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap and ensuring that individuals can access the essentials for a dignified life. From providing nourishing meals to addressing water scarcity, these initiatives aim to break the cycle of deprivation at its roots.

Hidden Homelessness: Unveiling an Overlooked Crisis

While homelessness is visible in many urban areas, “hidden homelessness” often goes unnoticed. As of January 2022, a National Alliance to End Homelessness report revealed that 582,462 people were experiencing homelessness across America. These individuals may live in inadequate settlements, couch-surf with friends and family, or move frequently in search of stability.

Period Poverty: Empowering Women for a Healthier Future

Period poverty is a pervasive issue affecting countless women and young girls globally. Approximately 500 million people lack access to basic menstrual products and hygienic bathroom facilities during their menstrual cycles. The consequences extend beyond physical discomfort, contributing to profound emotional and psychological challenges.

Our Water Project in India

Our water project in Odisha was funded by a very gracious anonymous donor in 2019. In partnership with @charitywater, it provides clean and safe water to 293 people for drinking, hygiene, and more.

In November 2023, we collaborated with @charitywater, and brought clean water to Patamaha village, India. Piped tap stands now serve 56 people, providing safe drinking water and supporting gardens for fresh, nutritious food.
